The Hartog Haycobs are roughage cobs with herbs specially designed for soaking. This makes it very easy to absorb and ideal for mixing with your balancer and/or supplements. Hartog Haycobs consist of hay, dried grass, barley straw, linseed, rose hips and nettles. Rose hips and nettles are rich in nutrients and a healthy addition to horses’ rations. No grains or molasses have been added to Hartog Haycobs. Combined with the naturally low sugar and starch content, Hartog Haycobs are suitable for many different types of horses and are a great alternative to grain-rich slobbers. Hartog Haycobs are an easy way to provide your horse with extra roughage. For example, to increase the amount of roughage in your ration or to increase the number of roughage feedings per day. The Hartog Haycobs are ideal for older horses with dental problems.

When do I choose Hartog Haycobs instead of Hartog Recovery?
Although the Hartog Haycobs and Hartog Recovery both contain herbs, there are major differences between the products. You choose the Hartog Haycobs if you are looking for a slop with a low sugar and starch content that is rich in fibre. In addition, the Hartog Haycobs are grain, molasses and alfalfa free.
Can I feed the Hartog Haycobs instead of roughage?
Hartog Haycobs can be used as a partial roughage replacement, for example for horses with dental problems or difficult eaters. The Hartog Haycobs can also be used to increase the amount of roughage in the ration or add an extra roughage to the ration.
